Born and raised in Durban, South Africa, my journey with food began in the heart of our family kitchen. Our kitchen was more than just a place to prepare meals; it was where we gathered, shared stories, and celebrated our cultural heritage. Fresh produce from our tropical garden was a staple, and cooking together was our way of preserving our traditions.
My Story
After careers in academia and the software and IT industries, I chose to pursue my true passion: cooking. I returned to school to study Culinary Arts at the College of Southern Nevada and, since relocating to Florida, I’ve embraced a dynamic culinary career. I’ve worked as a Sous Chef in fine dining establishments, country clubs, and cooking schools. Alongside this, I’ve managed a part-time catering business, continually seeking new inspirations and refining my skills. When I’m not in the kitchen, you’ll find me paddle boarding, cycling, or playing tennis and pickleball.

The decision to launch Arisi Foods Co. in late 2023 was a natural one. Together with my sister Namosh, we bring over 40 years of teaching experience to our culinary school. Our mission is to share our love for food and education through engaging and hands-on culinary experiences. We start with the basics and build upon that foundation, guiding you to create balanced, delicious meals that you can confidently recreate at home.

Our approach to food is holistic. As trained yoga instructors, we value the connection between healthy eating and overall wellness. We believe that food is an evolving art form, and we’re excited to explore new possibilities and trends with you.
